Apple iPhone Duo

The Apple iPhone Duo has been introduced as Apple’s first foldable iPhone, combining a pocketable titanium design with a large 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR folding OLED display, a secondary 5.4-inch outer display, advanced Apple Intelligence capabilities, and the powerful A20 Pro chip. When opened, the largest display ever offered on an iPhone is provided, with approximately 50% more display area than iPhone 18 Pro Max. A seamless dual-display experience has been created through iOS 27, allowing apps, entertainment, communication, multitasking, and creative tools to be used across multiple positions and orientations.

A flexible foldable design has been paired with a titanium construction, Ceramic Shield 2 front protection, Ceramic Shield back, and IP68 splash, water, and dust resistance. The inner display has been built from 10 ultrathin layers and finished with a custom nano-texture surface to reduce glare, while wide-angle OLED technology has been used to maintain excellent visibility from different viewing positions. Peak outdoor brightness of up to 3000 nits is supported, along with ProMotion adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, Always-On display functionality, HDR, True Tone, Wide Color P3, and Apple Pencil USB-C support. 

Photography and video creation have been expanded through a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system, including a 48MP Fusion Main camera and 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera. Features such as Smart Take, Duo Preview, Kid Cue, Duo FaceTime, Smart focus tracking, Photographic Styles 3, Spatial Reframing, enhanced Clean Up, Cinematic mode, macro photography, 2x optical-quality zoom, and 4K Dolby Vision recording up to 120 fps are supported. A 12MP Center Stage outer front camera and an under-display inner FaceTime camera are also included for flexible selfies, video calls, and hands-free communication.

Performance is powered by the A20 Pro chip, which includes a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, Dual 16-core Neural Engine, and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Intensive AI workloads, advanced gaming, photo editing, creative applications, and everyday multitasking are designed to be handled efficiently. Up to 20% faster CPU performance and up to 50% more memory bandwidth than A19 Pro are provided, while a vapor chamber thermal management system has been incorporated for sustained performance.

A dual-battery system has been fitted to maximize available internal space, while the Apple C2 cellular modem has been designed for improved efficiency. Up to 44 hours of video playback on the outer display or up to 31 hours on the inner display is supported. Fast wired charging can provide up to 50% charge in around 20 minutes when a compatible 60W or higher adapter is used, while MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging are supported at up to 25W.

Apple Intelligence and the new Siri AI experience have been deeply integrated into iPhone Duo. More natural conversations, personal context awareness, app actions, online knowledge, writing assistance, Visual Intelligence, image creation, intelligent photo editing, contextual suggestions, and advanced Shortcuts automation are supported. Connectivity is provided through Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, 5G, eSIM, NFC, Thread networking technology, and second-generation Ultra Wideband.

Apple’s First Foldable iPhone

A foldable titanium design has been introduced with iPhone Duo, allowing the device to be used closed, fully open, seated, standing, vertically, or horizontally. Different positions can be used for entertainment, multitasking, video calls, photography, and everyday mobile tasks.

7.6-Inch Super Retina XDR Folding Display

A 7.6-inch all-screen OLED folding display is provided with a resolution of 1878 × 2670 pixels at 430 ppi. A nano-texture finish has been added to reduce glare, while wide-angle OLED technology helps maintain image quality from different viewing angles.

The inner display is approximately 50% larger than the display of iPhone 18 Pro Max.

5.4-Inch Outer Super Retina XDR Display

A 5.4-inch outer OLED display is included for fast access to everyday apps, messages, calls, media, photography, and notifications without opening the device. A 1398 × 2034 resolution at 460 ppi is provided.

Up to 3000 Nits Peak Outdoor Brightness

Reimagined iOS 27 Multitasking

iOS 27 has been optimized for the dual-display and foldable design. Split View multitasking allows supported apps to be used side by side, while content can be moved between apps.

Photos, Mail, productivity tools, communication apps, entertainment, and AI features can be used across the larger inner display.

Flexible Viewing Positions

Different foldable positions can be used for different situations. The device can be angled for movies and shows, placed upright for hands-free FaceTime calls, or positioned for hands-free video capture.

Siri AI is powered by Apple Intelligence and has been designed to provide a more conversational and personalized AI experience.
